Athlete's Coach Admission $10 - Limited to 1 per athlete.

*Spectator Admission $15 - Limited to 2 per athlete.

*We will open up more spectator tickets as soon as we have all lifters registered and they purchased their spectator tickets. 

USAPL San Diego Validus Open II is limited to 74 LIFTERS. Register asap and reserve your spot on the platform. Spectator space is limited. There are no refunds for a canceled registration for ANY reason. If you cannot lift in the meet you will forfeit your registration monies. Transfers to another event are not allowed.

USA POWERLIFTING MEMBERSHIPS: Purchasing your USA Powerlifting membership prior to the competition is required. CLICK HERE for Membership Application. If you are planning on purchasing membership in November so that it rolls over to 2020, type in 000000. Set a reminder as it gets closer to the meet, you will need an active membership in order to participate.

Saturday - PM SESSION

1:30–2:00pm Registration/Equipment Check for PM Session Athletes (Flights C & D) 

2:00pm–3:30pm Weigh-in/Equipment Check for PM Session Athletes (Flights C & D) 

3:30–4:00pm Rules briefing and athlete warm-up

4:00–7:00pm Commencement of lifting

7:00–7:30pm Competition Awards & Doping Control Protocol

Awards and Weight Classes

Medals will be given to lifters that place 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their class. 

Best Male & Female Lifter Awards are based on IPF points and will be announced at the end of Sunday's Session. 

All athletes will receive a Gift Bag!

Custom Trophy & Gift Certs - TBA

The standard USA Powerlifting weight classes will be used. Youth Weight classes are also available.

Women: 43, 47, 52, 57, 63, 72, 84, 84+ (kgs)

Men: 53, 59, 66, 74, 83, 93, 105, 120, 120+ (kgs)

RECORDS: Only State records can be set at this meet.


USAPL rules will be followed and can be obtained by your meet director, state chair, or the USA Powerlifting national office. A USA Powerlifting membership is required and must be purchased before the meet. Drug testing will be conducted, be sure to take responsibility for what goes into your body. There are many supplements/drugs that are legal to buy, but are not legal to take if you compete in USAPL competitions. To search the WADA Prohibited list, click here:
